Kambo

Kambo
Sound healing is ancient non-invasive and safe therapy that uses sound to relieve physical and emotional pain. It is based on the idea that all matter vibrates at a certain frequency, and that sound can be used to restore balance and harmony in the body. I use musical instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, tuning forks, and the human voice o produce different frequencies and tones that resonate with the body and help to restore balance to the body’s energy centres. Sound healing therapy treats a wide range of conditions, including stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Different frequencies of sound can affect the body in different ways, such as helping to reduce stress and improve sleep. Research has shown that sound frequencies can stimulate the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals. Additionally, sound frequencies may also be used to help promote relaxation, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation.

Breathwork is a powerful form of holistic healing/ alternative therapy that uses conscious breath to create a profound mind-body connection in order to bring about physical and mental benefits. It is a practice that has been used for centuries by cultures around the world to promote physical and emotional wellbeing. Breathwork helps to calm the nervous system, increase focus and clarity, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote a deeper sense of relaxation and connection. It helps to bring awareness to the body, mind, and spirit and encourages a greater sense of self-awareness and understanding.
The practice of breathwork is simple and can be done anywhere. It involves focusing on and controlling the breath by inhaling and exhaling deeply. During each cycle of breath, the body begins to relax and the mind begins to clear. This allows for the release of physical and emotional tension, and a deeper connection to the body and its needs. It is a powerful tool to help facilitate a sense of wellbeing and balance, and can be used to aid in the healing process of any physical, mental, or emotional challenge.
It can be divided into two main categories: active and passive. Active breathwork is more dynamic and involves specific techniques that can be used to trigger a desired physical and mental state. Passive breathwork is more relaxed and involves simply focusing on your breath. Active breathwork includes techniques such as holotropic, pranayama, conscious connected, and conscious circular breathing. Holotropic breathwork is a type of active breathwork that involves deep, rapid breathing and focused attention on body posture and movements in order to bring about a trance-like state. Pranayama is a type of active breathwork that involves specific breathing patterns to help with relaxation and meditation. Conscious connected and conscious circular breathing are two types of active breathwork that involve holding the breath for a period of time and focusing on specific areas of the body to help with relaxation and meditation. Passive breathwork is a more relaxed form of breathwork and involves simply focusing on your breath, and paying attention to the sensations of breathing in and out. This type of breathwork can be done while sitting or lying down and is used to help with relaxation and meditation.
Meditation is a practice of mindfulness and relaxation that has been used for centuries to help heal physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual ailments. It is a process of learning to observe one’s thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment or attachment. A regular practice of meditation can bring a sense of peace, calm, and clarity to the mind and body.
Meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and overall wellbeing, and promote better physical health. It can also help to reduce physical pain and improve sleep. In addition, meditation can be used to better understand and work through difficult emotions, such as fear, anger, or grief. It can also help with spiritual healing, allowing for an increased connection to oneself and the divine. Meditation can be practised in a variety of ways, from guided meditations to mindfulness practices. It is important to find a practice that works for you and that you feel comfortable with. Setting aside a regular time and place to practise can help to ensure that you reap the full benefits of the practice. It is also important to be gentle and patient with yourself during the process, as meditation can take time to learn and incorporate into your life. Overall, meditation can be an invaluable tool for self-care, healing, and growth.
The latest science on the benefits of meditation has shown that it can help improve attention and concentration, reduce rumination and anxiety, increase self-compassion and emotional regulation, and even help to increase grey matter density in the brain. These findings show that meditation can be a powerful tool for both healing and growth. It is a practice that can be beneficial to everyone, regardless of age, health, or background.

Storytelling doesn’t have the same healing effect as medicine, as it doesn’t typically alter the biological foundation of an illness. This is a significant differentiation to bear in mind but achieving holistic healing necessitates more than just treating a physical injury or curing a specific ailment. Narrating one’s experience of trauma through storytelling has been found to be a highly effective method for processing and healing from traumatic events. Trauma can leave a person feeling alone and overwhelmed, but sharing their story with others can create a sense of connection and understanding that allows them to make sense of their experiences.
Through storytelling, individuals not only recount the details of what happened but also express the emotional and psychological impact of the trauma. This act of narration helps to integrate the memories into a coherent narrative, providing clarity and reducing feelings of confusion and disorientation. Sharing one’s story can also foster empathy and validation, which can be beneficial for those who have experienced trauma. When others bear witness to a person’s story, they can offer support and validation, which can counteract feelings of shame and self-blame.
Furthermore, storytelling can give individuals a sense of agency and control over their experiences. Trauma can leave a person feeling helpless and powerless, but narrating their experiences can allow them to assert their autonomy and take control of the way their story is told. This can be empowering and help individuals regain a sense of control in their lives. Overall, storytelling is a powerful tool for trauma healing, but it is important to recognise that not everyone may be ready or willing to share their story. It is crucial to respect each individual’s unique healing process.
Rapé is an ancient and traditional Amazonian medicine that allows us to connect with the spirit of the forest and the powerful energy of creation. Its healing properties involve the act of giving and receiving, which entails sending a prayer to the spirit for help. Due to its sacred nature, it should always be used with utmost respect. Rapé is composed of various medicinal plants, roots, and trees, including leaves, seeds, spices, bark, oils, and flowers. The basic version comprises roasted and ground tobacco mixed with ash from sacred wood. The combination of ingredients varies significantly among tribes and determines the snuff’s strength and power, which can be physical, spiritual, or mental.
Administration of the snuff involves temporarily halting breathing while it is blown into each nostril individually.
Sananga is an indigenous Amazonian remedy that is derived from the shredded root of a shrub known as Tabernaemontana sanana, which grows in the rainforest. The active ingredient in this medicine is Ibogaine. This active ingredient targets the root causes of various diseases by reducing the forces that create negative energy, depression, and psychosomatic conditions.
On a physical level, Sananga helps to cleanse and refresh the eyes, and it has been found to be effective in treating a range of eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, dry and red eyes, photophobia, keratoconus, infections, sinusitis, and chronic headaches. It is also used in the treatment of chronic pain. To use this medicine, one or two drops are applied to each eye.
